Artist Statement
I have always been fascinated with the creative process of deciding what, when and where to photograph or paint.  There are so many beautiful subjects in this amazing world we live in; to capture and transform into a work of art, gives me complete joy.
For me the process begins long before my brush ever touches the canvas or I press my shutter release button.  I am forever painting and photographing in my head, creating portraits of ideas that eventually come to life.
Being able to free my thoughts from the mind chatter of everyday life allows me to transcend into an artistic world of peace, solitude and creativity.  The artistic process demands patience and humility.  I am always committed and willing to give myself over to the complete experience of art… come what may.
My constant quest is to practice self-discipline, to be open to change and to simply learn by being quiet, with my eyes wide open.  Each time I step into my studio I am granted with a lifetime opportunity to improve my art and my soul as well as my out look on life.
Through my art, I affect those that appreciate a heart felt lesson in form, composition, rhythm, beauty and an insatiable passion for art.
